Bar and restaurant database: every outlet, with what it serves and where it sells online
An outlet database is a list of the bars, restaurants, cafes and hotels in a market with one record per venue, and the Dashmote database holds 20M+ venues in 60+ countries. See every outlet in your market, not just the ones in your CRM: not a directory, each record carries what the venue serves (read from menus and menu photos), its delivery listings, reviews and the signals a sales team needs to decide where to go.

How the shares are defined
- Outlets without hotels

- Independent outlets

- On a delivery app
- Share of these outlets matched to at least one storefront on a delivery app we track, or with a delivery app linked on their public listing.
- Website listed
- Share of these outlets with a website on their public listing.
- 100+ public reviews
- Share of these outlets with 100+ public reviews.
The country, outlet type and metro area pages print these shares rounded to whole numbers.

What counts as an outlet
An outlet is one physical venue where food or drink is served: a restaurant, bar, pub, cafe, hotel or quick service restaurant. A chain with forty locations is forty outlets, each with its own address, menu and listings, linked to the group that runs them. Venues that have closed, permanently or temporarily, are excluded from every count.
Outlets are grouped into 5 channels so you can count and filter the way your sales team is organised: restaurants, bars and pubs, cafes, hotels and quick service.
The chart above shows the channel mix in the Netherlands, Germany and the UK.
Outlets per country, as of October 2026
| Country | Outlets | Independent | Listed on a delivery app |
|---|---|---|---|
| United Kingdom | 290,000+ | 87% | 30% |
| Netherlands | 77,000+ | 93% | 17% |
| Germany | 320,000+ | 94% | 14% |
| All 60+ countries | 20M+ | not shown | not shown |
Independent: not part of a chain of 5+ locations. Independence and delivery shares are shown for the UK, the Netherlands and Germany. Delivery: matched to a storefront on a delivery app we track (UK: Deliveroo, Just Eat, Uber Eats; NL: Thuisbezorgd.nl, Uber Eats; DE: Lieferando, Uber Eats, Wolt). Some listings cannot be matched to a venue.
Counts from other sources differ because definitions differ: some count registered businesses (one company can run several venues), some count only licensed premises, some keep closed venues. Ours count open venues (temporarily closed ones left out), one record per venue.
What each record contains
Each outlet record carries business information about the venue, grouped the way a rep reads it:
- Identity and location: name, address, coordinates, city, channel, cuisine, venue type.
- Venue profile: price level, opening hours and opening status.
- Menu: menu items and the food and drink brands named on the menu.
- Digital presence: delivery platforms, booking links, ratings and reviews, website, and Instagram, TikTok and YouTube accounts linked where public.
- Group: whether the venue is independent or part of a chain or managed group, and which one.
- Score: an AI lead score from 0 to 100 against your own ideal account description, written in plain words. The delivery side of the same record is covered in food delivery insights.

Is there a free restaurant database?
Yes, partly. Open map data, business registers and local licensing registers are free, and a maps search will list restaurants near any address. They are a fine start for a one-off look at one street. For a sales team they fall short in four ways:
- No menus. Nothing tells you what a venue serves or which brands it lists.
- Duplicates and dead rows. The same venue appears under several names, and listings go out of date.
- No channel logic. A hotel bar, a canteen and a cocktail bar can carry the same category.
- No ranking. Every row looks equally worth a visit.
Your team gets the database as a filterable list in the app, as a CSV file for Excel, or through an API into your CRM.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a free restaurant database?
Free sources exist (open map data, business registers, licensing registers, maps search), but none of them combine menus, channels, delivery presence and one record per open venue in one list. They work for a quick look at a street, not for planning a sales territory.
How many restaurants are there in the Netherlands, the UK and Germany?
Dashmote counts 38,000+ restaurants in the Netherlands, 94,000+ in the UK and 150,000+ in Germany as of October 2026, counting open venues, one record per venue. Other sources give different totals because they count companies or licences instead of venues.
What fields does each outlet have?
Each outlet has identity and location fields (name, address, coordinates, channel, cuisine, type), a venue profile (price level, opening hours, opening status), its menu items and the brands named on them, its digital presence (delivery platforms, booking links, reviews, social profiles, website), its operator, and an AI lead score.
How do you define an outlet?
An outlet is one physical venue that serves food or drink, with one record per venue: a chain with forty locations is forty outlets, linked to the group that runs them.
Can I get the data in Excel or my CRM?
Yes: the data exports as CSV for Excel, and full access plans include API export into your CRM, with CRM matching to mark the accounts you already serve.
How often is the database updated?
Outlet records and delivery data are updated monthly. New openings are added, changes are picked up and menus are re-read.

For sales leaders: the business case
An outlet database is the denominator every commercial plan needs and few teams have.
- Know your share of the market. Compare your accounts with the fitting outlets per country, city and channel, and report coverage as a real percentage.
- Plan with one number set. Sales, trade marketing and finance plan on the same outlet counts, dated and defined.
- License the territory you need. One city, one country or several, with unlimited seats on full access. See pricing.
