Where to prospect next: clusters of high-fit outlets

An outlet hotspot map shows the parts of a city where outlets that fit your brand sit close together, and Dashmote has scored 20M+ venues that can be mapped this way. That tells you where to prospect next: single small venues hide online; the corners where they cluster do not, and one hotspot can fill a day of visits.

Where do the outlets I want sit close together?

A ranked list tells you which outlets fit. It does not tell you that eleven of them sit within a short walk of each other behind the station. For a rep that difference is a whole day: one parking spot and a morning of visits, against a day of driving between single stops.

This matters most for the venues that are hardest to find one by one: food stalls, kiosks, small takeaways and late-night counters. Many have a thin presence online. Where they cluster (a market street, a night-life block, a campus edge) the cluster stands out even when single venues do not.

What you see on the map

The hotspot map runs on the lead score of the model you choose (you describe your ideal outlet in plain words, and AI scores each outlet against it), so it shows where your kind of outlet concentrates, not just where outlets are.

    • Heat map. The city coloured by how many high-fit outlets on your model sit in each part of it.
    • Hotspot finder. Outlined areas where high-fit outlets cluster, ranked from strongest to weakest.
    • Per hotspot. The number of outlets, a combined score, and the outlets inside it with their own scores.
    • Save it. Save a hotspot as a list for the team or as an area to filter and track over time.
    • Plan the visits. Pick the top outlets in a hotspot as this week's visits and assign them to a rep.

How teams use it in the week

Hotspots turn a ranked list into a plan on the ground.

    • Cluster days. Give each rep one or two hotspots per day instead of a scattered list, and visit more outlets in the same hours.
    • New territory entry. In a city you do not cover yet, start with the strongest hotspots and build out from there.
    • Van sales and sampling. Park once and cover a hotspot on foot, or run a sampling day where your kind of venue clusters.
    • Activation zones. Choose where to put an event or a promotion by where high-fit outlets and their guests concentrate.
    • Area targets. Saved hotspots become areas with their own counts, so managers can set and track targets per cluster.

Worked example: three hotspots, one week

Take a snack brand's team that runs the hotspot finder on a street-food model in its home city and saves the top three.

StrongestMarket street, old town162Monday: visit the top 12 on foot
SecondStation square, east side120Wednesday: sampling day, then visits
ThirdCampus edge, university quarter85Friday: current accounts first, then the rest

Three days, three parking spots, about thirty-five outlets that would have been spread across a week of driving on a plain list.

    Hotspots and territory planning

A territory map shows all your scored outlets and current accounts, coloured by tier, so you can cut territories and set visit rhythms; see sales territory planning. The hotspot map is the zoomed-in tool: it finds the dense pockets inside a territory and turns each into a visit list. Most teams plan territories on the first and fill each week's visits from the second.

    Frequently asked questions

What is an outlet hotspot map?

An outlet hotspot map shows where outlets that fit your brand cluster in a city, based on their lead scores. It turns a ranked list into areas you can visit and target.

How is a hotspot different from a territory?

A territory is the whole area a rep covers; a hotspot is a dense pocket of high-fit outlets inside it. Territories set who covers what, hotspots decide where each day's visits go.

Which score does the hotspot map use?

It uses the lead score of the model you choose, so a street-food model and a cocktail-bar model give different hotspots in the same city.

Can I save a hotspot and share it with my team?

Yes, save a hotspot as a list or as an area. Lists can be shared and exported; areas can be used as a filter and tracked over time.

Can I plan visits from a hotspot?

Yes, pick the top outlets in a hotspot as the week's visits, save them as a list and assign them to a rep.

Does it help with venues that are hard to find online?

Yes, that is where it helps most: food stalls, kiosks and small takeaways often have a thin presence on their own, but the streets where they cluster show up clearly on the map.

For sales leaders: the business case

Hotspots put more high-fit visits into the same field hours.

    • More visits per day. Reps work dense clusters instead of scattered stops, so time goes to outlets, not to the car.
    • Reach where lists fall short. Small venues with thin online presence are found through the places they cluster.
    • Targets per area. Saved hotspots give managers clear areas to staff, track and compare.
